Rick Hughes

Rick Hughes has a successful 37-year track record in automotive finance. As CEO of Capital Automotive, he created Flex-Pro, Sonic Automotive’s F&I Program, and NC Life, industry-leading programs that increase dealer revenue. Prior to starting Capital Automotive, Rick was the Director of Business Development for one of the largest automotive finance products and services companies in the world. He coordinates International Field Force, has presented at BSF and CEO Ninety, and has personally developed hundreds of successful dealership personnel.

After earning his degree from Emory and Henry College, Rick was an assistant football coach for Virginia Tech. Rick soon met his wife, Paula, began his career in F&I, and the two settled in Charlotte, North Carolina. Rick is a well-rounded individual who believes in giving back to the community. He has been a Sunday school teacher, a Deacon, volunteer athletic coach, and a college trustee, and is a lymphoma survivor who greets each day with a thankful spirit.
